Covid-19 Update

As restrictions are slowly being lifted, as it relates to COVID-19, know that the safety of our customers and employees is our top priority. In an effort to make things easier for you, below you will find updates on store openings, curbside pickup and answers to some of your most common questions.

While our stores are open, things will be a little bit different. Check our FAQs for insights on the steps we’re taking to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees, and what changes to your experience you can expect when you’re visiting our stores.

We will not be checking customers’ temperatures nor our employees’ temperatures at the door. If a customer is showing signs that they are unwell, they will not be permitted to enter our store, as we want to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our customers and employees. Employees are being asked to use self screening tools before they are ready to start their shift, and we have advised all employees that they must stay home if they feel unwell.

As per the public health orders issued by the Province, Golf Town will limit store occupancy to protect the health and safety of it staff and customers, and ensure we can perform all required health and safety protocols. We have implemented additional sanitization measures, and we have trained all store employees on physical distancing and the preventative steps to take to ensure our stores are safe (washing of hands, disinfecting frequently used surfaces and items, frequently cleaning our washrooms). We have also implemented measures in our store to ensure physical distancing and will be monitoring lineups and entry in our stores to ensure we are in compliance with the occupancy threshold. Hand sanitizer will be available at entrances and exits for customers and employees to use.

Customers may experience longer than usual wait times. We are working to provide the best experience possible, while keeping the health and safety of our customers and employees top of mind.

All employees are encouraged to wear masks and gloves. Gloves and masks are not a mandatory requirement for customers but are encouraged.

At this time, we are only accepting debit or credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Apple Pay, Union Pay, and debit card. Customers will be required to tap (when possible) at their time of purchase.

For the health and safety of our employees, we will not be accepting customers’ bags. The items you purchase will be placed in a Golf Town bag.

We will be accepting returns and exchanges and have implemented the proper procedures to ensure the health and safety of customer and employees. Before the item(s) are placed back on the sales floor, each item will be quarantined for 72 hours.

When you visit our stores you will notice that the store layout is the same but has new elements, such as floor markings to encourage physical distancing. We have also implemented rules for the use of change rooms, simulators, and the putting green.

For the health and safety of our customers and employees, customers will not be permitted to use the change rooms to try on merchandise. This rule applies to trying on footwear as well.

For the health and safety of our customers and employees, customers will not be permitted to test their clubs in the simulators. If you’d like to test your club, please inform our staff so they can tape the club, then proceed to the counter to purchase it. Taped club(s) may be tested at home or at your local driving range. If you’re not satisfied, you may return or exchange the club(s).

The putting green will be open to customers who would like to test a putter. All customers will be required to wear gloves when handling putters (Golf Town will provide gloves).

The Pro Shop will be open to provide customers with all services. Please expect up to a one-week delay for services such as, re-gripped clubs (turnaround times will be slower than usual).

Items ordered online are not available for curbside or in-store pickup at this time. Items purchased online will be shipped directly to the customer.

For the health and safety of our customers and employees, customers will not be permitted to try on apparel, footwear, hats or gloves while in the store.

To help customers get the products you need, our team is now offering Curbside pickup at all Golf Town locations. Most orders can be ready for “same day” pickup, and in some cases within just a few hours. No waiting for deliveries or couriers!
