6. What Are Your Choices?

We created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

    6.1. Tracking Technologies and Advertising:
    We use cookies on our Website. “Cookies” are small text files which are saved on your computer’s browser when you visit a website. Cookies and other tracking technologies like web beacons/pixels and tags can collect information such as your browser type, IP address, device identifier and model, location information, and how you interact on our Website, such as the pages you visit, when you return to the Website, and the amount of time you view it. This information helps us manage our Website, improve your online shopping experience by saving your preferences, and suggesting relevant products we think you would like.

    You have the choice to reject cookies by resetting your browser. You can manage cookies via your browser under your Settings. If you choose to decline cookies on your browser, you will reject cookies from all websites, not just ours. You may also lose some functionalities on our Website and other websites if your browser blocks all cookies.

    Some content or applications on our Website, including advertisements, are also served by third parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, social media platforms and application providers. These third parties may use cookies to collect information about you when you use our Website, including information about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioural) advertising or other targeted content.

    You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. To learn how you can manage your Flash cookie settings, visit the Flash player settings page on Adobe’s website.

    6.2. Marketing Communications:
    If you have signed up for marketing communications through a purchase (implied consent) or expressly opted in to receive communications from us, you can opt-out by:

    • “unsubscribing” directly from the email / SMS communication;
    • adjusting your user preferences from the footer of our email communications; or

    If you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you communication regarding your product or service purchase, warranty registration, product service experience, or other transactions.

    6.3. Interest-Based Advertising and Analytics:
    Like many other websites, we use third parties, such as Meta and Google Analytics, for advertising and analytics. This allows us to understand how visitors use our Website, to promote interest-based advertisements to you, and to measure how users interact with those advertisements.

    The information we collect through Google Analytics is aggregated and we cannot identify who you are. When we serve interest-based advertisements to you (via Meta or otherwise), we may do this using web tracking tools or by converting an email address, phone number or other contact information you provided to us into a unique value that these platforms may compare to a unique value created from information you provided to those platforms. These third parties use their own tracking technologies (e.g. cookies, beacons, pixel tags, flash cookies etc) on our Website and unaffiliated websites and social media to provide you with targeted advertising based on your interests.

    You may opt out of the collection of your Personal Information by these third parties, including ad servers and networks by indicating your choice using the opt-out tool created by the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada or an opt-out tool created by the Network Advertising Initiative. You can also access these websites to learn more about online behavioural advertising and how to stop websites from placing cookies on your device. Opting out of a network does not mean you will no longer receive online advertising. It does mean that the network from which you opted out will no longer deliver ads tailored to your web preferences and usage patterns. Please visit Facebook for information on Meta’s advertising and privacy policies https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

7. How Do We Safeguard Your Personal Information?

We take every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your Personal Information. We will never ask you for your password in any unsolicited communication (such as letters, phone calls or email messages).

8. How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Information?

We will keep your Personal Information only as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, including meeting any legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, unless otherwise permitted or required by law. In some cases, we may anonymize your Personal Information so it can no longer be linked to you. We reserve the right to use this anonymous data for any legitimate business purpose without further notice to you or your consent.
