Pros:  Accurate visual swing path through the hitting zone
easy to customize settings to fix most speed and distance issues 
seems durable
cons: the plastic tee needs to be bent and twisted constantly to get the ball to stay on it
club head speed and shot distance wasnt even close to accurate right out of the box 
hard plastic hardware beneath the grass mat can be extremely loud unless you pick the ball clean off the tee 
must have at least 256 video card ram to run, thus it didn't run on my lower end but new laptop.

overall: the swing path information alone makes this an extremely helpful tool for people wanting to improve their swing.  worth the price. 

My buddies and I had and have great fun with it since I got it.But we are also fairly high handicappers,so like lightyears away from any tour:-)And like that the opti had to take some massive mishits that even broke the housing and damaged one club lightly.Got in touch with DD and would have to send it in for repair/replacement. 2,3,4 or more weeks without?Absolute NO GO.I'm a golfnut,addicted since I picked up clubs for the first time ever last year and think the optishot hepls me to get something like a game.And whenever one of my golf buddies comes by we play a full 18,the Par 3 holes or just have some swings on the range. Was at GolfTown and like nothing the gals and guys helped me.Thank you all very much.
The set up is a bit different now and I get a mat for it so clubs get that much deflected to just strafe the opti instead of making it fly farther than the ball on top of it...The new setup has proven good tonight and should be ok until mat ;-)

Had the Optishot now for almost 2 months. Well worth the $400. We're finding it a great tool for understanding swing dynamics and why shots are going where they are.  Recently did a few shots using the Golftown simulators and found it to be within an acceptable accuracy range. Putting is somewhat cheesy, but can't have everything. Have it set up in the garage and use a projector. Currently use foam balls, but in process of getting a net for real balls.  After hitting a few a balls at Golftown, realized the feel would be better with real ones. All in all for the money, gave it a 5.
